Read a bulk telecom proposal the way an engineer would, and a lawyer would, at the same time.
Most associations sign 10-year telecom agreements governing how every resident gets internet, TV, and phone. The financial and service implications are significant, and the technology decisions inside those contracts are rarely transparent to the people signing them. This course gives Florida CAMs the technical and contractual literacy to advise their boards with confidence — regardless of which provider they select.
What You'll Learn
1
Distinguish between fiber, coaxial, and fixed wireless systems serving residential communities, and explain the practical differences to a board.
2
Identify dedicated versus shared network architectures and how each affects peak-hour performance for residents.
3
Evaluate bulk internet and TV proposals using a structured framework covering total cost, technology, contract terms, and service commitments.
4
Recognize common contract provisions that disadvantage associations, and understand what is and isn't negotiable.
5
Develop a due-diligence question set to use with any provider during a bid process.
