What service is provided to the community?

BroadStar provides “in the clear” up to 70 digital channels OR 12 analog channels.

Why is there a difference?

The Digital Lineup is available to all using a television with a QAM tuner built in.  Not all televisions have the correct tuner and will only bring in a maximum of 48 channels.  These channels may change each time you turn the television on and off.  You can rectify this by making a 1 time purchase of a QAM Converter box. The Analog lineup will appear on all televisions.
 

Were may I purchase the converter box?

You may purchase through Amazon, or at local retailers like Best Buy.   Please select one of the following QAM converters

How do I perform a channel scan?

Using your TV Remote please select Menu, Settings, Channel Setup, Select Cable.    DO NOT SELECT ANTENNA OR AIR.

Select channel search, or channel scan.
These steps may vary by television.  Please call our office if you need assistance.

Does BroadStar provide Internet to the community?

Internet service is available to the entire community.  This is a retail option that individuals may subscribe to.  We provide up to 200M service using a modem placed in the home.  Some residents may see speeds in excess of 200M. 

Do I have to commit to a long term agreement for Internet service in my home?

BroadStar does not require a term commitment at this time.   We anticipate the current rate of $39.99/mo will remain in place through December 2025.
