2021 American Music Awards | November 21st
The American Music Awards, where winners are determined entirely by fans, return in 2021 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The “AMAs” dubbed the world’s largest fan-voted awards show will air live on ABC on Sunday, November 21st at 8 pm ET. The nominations were announced on October 28th, and are derived from fan interactions like streaming, album sales, song sales, and radio airplay between September 25, 2020, and September 23, 2021. Olivia Rodrigo earned the most nods this year with seven including the coveted “Artist of the Year”. The Weeknd was second with six nominations, and Bad Bunny, Giveon, and Doja Cat, each earned five nominations.
The Awards ceremony will be hosted by Cardi B, who has won 5 “AMAs” and performed on the show in 2018. “We are immensely excited to have the dynamic Cardi B bring her infectious energy to the American Music Awards as a first-time host. She will excite the viewers, push the limits and deliver a show that will be remembered forever!” said executive producer Jesse Collins.
